The histrory of Manor at Trzebinia dates back to the
14th
century. The first owners were the Karwacjan family. Then, there
have been numerous changes in both the ownership and the building
itself over the centuries. Todays shape was given in the 18th
century. It is a building cellared in part, with a typical Polish
gambrel roof, crowned with a four column portico at the front. In 1983 the Manor was repurchased by the Exchequer from the attorney of the last the Zieleniewski Family – Zbigniew. In mid-1980ies there were offorts aimed at having the building renovated. In 1991 the Manor was taken over by a new owner the Trzebinia Country. Initial steps towards the reconstruction of the Manor were made by the social Committee for Renovation of the Zieleniewski Manor. The reconstruction works were completed in 1996 and have brought about some modifications in the architectural layout. From the eastern part the building was supplemented with a terrace; instead, the hotel rooms were arranged at the attic. The Zieleniewski Manor with the surrounding park have been entered in the Register of Monuments by the Provincial Conservator of Monumental Landmarks in Cracow.
The Culture Institution, established
in the rebuilt Manor, has been conducting a lively activity by
organising numerous concerts, recitals of top artists, exhibitions,
arts workshops or meetings with interesting people.
